The RETRO SOUND is HOT! The artist embracing this musical experience has really taken off! The Disco sound has made a comeback and Music marvel Joe Phillips and his band THE WINSTONS have proved that. The song is a re-release of their HIT SONG (Originally on the Bernie Mac Show) THE NEW ELECTRIC SLIDE! The song has become a favourite of DJ’s worldwide. THE NEW ELECTRIC SLIDE is a brilliant continuation of the original ELECTRIC SLIDE that was TOP OF THE POPS in the DISCO ERA, the sequel is poised to join the original’s category of being TOP OF THE POPS.

The WINSTONS are based out of WASHINGTON D.C. and were formed by Joe Phillips whose background includes lead guitarist and/or music director for such icons as Barry White, The Stylistics, The Delfonics, The Manhattans and numerous others. While there are no members of the original group who released the song originally, THE WINSTONS continue to keep memories alive with this reboot of this classic tune. Previously released and featured on the BERNIE MAC SHOW 100th Anniversary TV show, this is the first WORLDWIDE release of the song. The WINSTONS also perform all over the D.C. area and beyond keeping the sounds of MOTOWN ALIVE!
