FUTURE PERFECT

Simon Owen – Music, Lyrics, Vocal&  Production
Rebecca Owen – Music, Vocals & Synths The now Husband & Wife couple Simon & Rebecca Owen make up the incredible electronic/synthpop/EBM sound of Future Perfect.
They formed in 2009 taking their influences from the lyrical darkness of Joy Division & Depeche Mode, the experimentalism of early O.M.D and style and groove of Pet Shop Boys. Future Perfect has a sound that’s looking forwards and never
backwards.

In the early 90´s Johan Baeckström formed the swedish electropop duo Daily Planet together with vocalist Jarmo Ollila. The singles "Milky Way" and "Radioactive love" was released in 1995-1996,
followed by the first – and only – album "The Tide". Until 2014, that is – In september 2014 they released their second album, called "Two", on Swedish label Progress Productions. It was followed by a 3rd album, "Play Rewind Repeat" in May 2017. In between those two, Johan released two solo albums, ”Like Before” in June 2015 and ”Utopia” in June 2018, both highly acclaimed by fans and
media.

New Single Out From The Impersonators

Rock N Roll is here to stay … with a Alternative Twist! The latest single from Finland based rockers hits the streams, their late 80’s early 90’s Progressive Rock sound distinguishes them from the usual lick you’ll hear on the Top 40 Channels. Take David Bowie, Pet Shop Boys with a dash of Blur and a splash of Blink 182~ then you get The Impersonators.

The initial inspiration for this tune came when I met this guy from Sussex, England. I did not know Sussex isn’t exactly thriving these days and he was dirt poor but blissfully happy and jazzed up about life. Then there was me, blessed with everything and still not being content. I felt slightly embarrassed. As often is the case, a song is inspired by something autobiographical and then once you start working on it, it evolves into a composite of reality and fiction. Unlike the protagonist of the song, the British guy I met was not married nor unemployed. However, the lyrics Antti provided for the verses and the middle-eight, needed the character in the song to be both of those things. I edited the bits we wrote together and painted a picture of a disappointed man, on his last legs, waving goodbye to all the mundane, trivial and hurtful issues of everyday life, saying, “You win. You can be as nasty and indifferent towards me as you want, I won’t fight back from now on but I won’t rent space in my head or heart for you anymore either. The promo shots and the video for the release were shot in a real circus tent. It was a lot of fun doing that. Antti floored everyone with his acting abilities and also, I love the single cover, doctored by Sven Klitsch, with the little circus bits in it.
Excited about how the photo turned out, I showed it to my four-year old son. He looked at it slightly worried and said, “Were you scared of standing so close to the tiger?” – “Not one bit,” I answered.”

Catch the NEW Music Video

Having previously been signed to Sony/BMG with Carmen Gray, one of Finland’s finest rock bands, Tom Tikka has formed The Impersonators, a two-man project born out their ashes designed to cut-out the politics and strife which come from the rock ‘n’ roll carnival of band life. Resolutely studio-based, The Impersonators attempt to channel the bejeweled power-pop of The Go-Betweens and the immediacy/worldliness of early R.E.M. to deliver timeless alt-pop melodies.

Comprising Tom Tikka and lyricist Antti Autio, The Impersonators are just that: a duo which masquerades as a full band and does everything it can to defy convention – whether that being their insistence on avoiding touring or their songs, which home in on the warts-and-all gnarliness of love and real life. In fact, if one were to find a common theme that runs through the group’s entire catal it would probably be how life very seldom resembles or turns out like Disney fantasies.

Despite their poignant lyrics, The Impersonators are still a joyous and sweet proposition, with their vocal harmonies and chiming chords harking back to such 60s pop majesties as The Beatles, The Byrds and The Beach Boys. Together with their secret weapon, producer Janne Saksa, The Impersonators craft their lyrics and melodies into retro-flavoured “alternative pop/rock”. While adding a modern twist to the final soundscape, their most important goal is to nurture and cultivate the creativity, spirit, and warmth that graced the pop records of yester years.

From DarRa himself…..”2019 the world has warmed up and is still been run by the Craziest Showmen to ever breath, and music has become wall-paper where everyone with a drum machine and Iphone desperately beg for your 1 second of attention. Its a different world now from the one where people would take the effort to hit the record stores, buy that killer new album, rush home, pour a drink of something or maybe something else, sit back and float downstream for a few hours of sonic drifting. So why on earth would anyone make an Album in 2019, when no one has the time to look up and say hello let alone have an hour to drift away to other places in your headspace.Well out on the Wild frontier on musical innovation their our a few soldiers still holding the forts, waiting for the moment they can return back to the everyday rush with a new sonic masterpiece to restore the faith of the people.Again you ask why would you bother, that question is hard to answer other than the hope that someone might feel the same and want to join the sonic army to change the world for the better. One of those Sonic soldiers is an Irish born artist called Dar.Ra that has returned from the frontier with a new sonic masterpiece called ‘New Kinda Normal’ 10 songs that depict life in the 21st century but allow the mind to drift off and make up your own ideas of how things should be.This album is a labour of love and has taken two years to make with co producer Harvey Summers, moving genres and themes like a tour bus moves from one town to another. Its already had one hit single called ‘Diamonds N The Shadows’ which has been getting great press and support on various platforms, with a video that would make David Lynch smile, if you haven’t heard it, you must of been watching MTV Cribs.‘If you didn’t come to party don’t bother knocking on my door, Prince once said, but were saying if your not into getting woke to new music then jog on.Subject and themes run from Coming Out and being you, War, Being Single, Climate Change in ‘Heavier Than Rock N Roll’ to Suicide in a track dedicated to Robin Williams. Its all there but in a non preachy kinda way.The vibe is one which Dar.Ra calls Rock Step which is a mixture of Rock N Roll and EDM which you can hear on ‘Night Stepper’ another track with a killer Video shot in NYC about a 12th century Knight who wakes up in the 21st C. Another single ‘Phenomenal’ a tribute to single mothers which got heavy radio support in the US and UK with Kerrang Radio calling the vibe Different, and Planet Rock loving it too. There are 10 tracks and three bonus remixes pushing the EMD vibe into touchdown. The Night Stepper remix just oozes late night sex appeal and has also had support from the Club Heads. Its all there if you dare to dream for something different.

DaraRa takes you on real ROCK N ROLL EDM Drive!

The New Song Rock Steady is about a guy who has enough of being told what to do and how to feel by his wife and decides to leave. He believes that he will be Rock Steady with or without her, even though she has tried to gaslight him believing that he will never survive on his own. Everyone should feel Rock Steady on their own, no one should need anyone to make them happy. It’s a bonus when it happens but we all need to be independent in my book. “

That Southern-Americana inspired Heartland Rock

That Southern-Americana inspired Heartland Rock lives on with Mandy Rowden. Her style of music heavily inspired by Tom Petty, Neil Young, Sheryl Crow and Joan Jett, Mandy incorporates elements of pop, rock, country, jazz, and blues in her music. It’s an homage to Roots Rock that honours Rock and Roll’s origins: poetic and symbolic lyrics accompanied by brilliant guitar skills in a no holds barred female driven resonance. Honest and simplistic Mandy brings back to the forefront that Southern Inspired Rock sound that we all love. Can you dig it?

Catch her Music Videos

Brought up in East Texas, Mandy has been a practising musician since the tender age of six. That’s when she began learning classical piano and guitar, laying the foundation for an eventual career in music – but it wasn’t until the Americana sound found its way into her soul that she embraced her true path: that of a real-deal, down-in-the-dirt singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who’s weathered some storms and emerged with tales to tell.
The current album, When That Day Comes, marks her label debut after releasing a duo of independent albums: These Bad Habits (2015), which earned the title of #2 Album of the Year in the 2015-16 Austin Chronicle Music Poll, and its successor, 1,000 Miles. Her sophomore album landed her in the poll’s top ten finalists across its Musician, Songwriter, Vocalist, and Song categories, all voted on by discerning music lovers around Austin. Both albums were recorded at Treehouse Productions (Joe Ely, Ephraim Owens), owned and operated by Joe Carroll. Her early work materialised, in part, as the result of standout collaborations with Grammy-winning producer Lloyd Maines (Dixie Chicks, Wilco, Robert Earl Keen), Grammy-winner Redd Volkaert (Brad Paisley, Merle Haggard) and Brad Rice (Ryan Adams, Tift Merritt), all of whose guitar work can be found on These Bad Habits.

Building on those successes, Rowden signed with Howlin’ Dog Records in 2017 and recorded When That Day Comes in Alamosa, Colorado with Don Richmond (Bill Hearne, Susan Gibson) producing and engineering. In the studio, Richmond introduced a vast array of folk instruments including a pennywhistle and hammer dulcimer – an invitation that tapped into Rowden’s deeply multi-instrumental background and immersed them both in what she calls a “dorky free-for-all” of instrumentation. The result: a collection of warm, engaging songs about life and loss, recalling strains of Lucinda Williams in its easy pace and vulnerable lyrics, rolling out a welcome mat of raw emotional accessibility and revealing a world textured by hurt and hope alike. Its sound is equal parts bourbon and honey, with the search for meaning finding its way into each song, seeking answers while reveling in the wonder of it all.

“I definitely tackled some of my own struggles with mortality on this record,” Rowden says, jokingly referring to it as her “death album.” The theme was an unintentional one that went unnoticed until the record was complete, and its overall sound – a nimble fusion of alt-country, folk and classic rock – keeps the subject matter in balance. The lilting title track honors the life and death of a friend’s father, while Pecosita was written with an oncology nurse about a patient gone too soon; Lucy’s Song, written through tears at the bar of Matt’s El Rancho in South Austin, laments the loss of a beloved pet; and the stormy A Chance to Give You Love reflects on the love left behind by a relative who took his own life. In a final grace note, Angel Song #2 is covered in homage to the late, great Tom Petty, whose passing coincided with the album’s recording sessions and hit Rowden hard. Stumbling onto a greatest hits album in her formative years, she says Petty’s songs “American Girl” and “The Waiting” opened the door for her from classical music into the beating heart of rock & roll.

Although a seed of rebellion had been planted years earlier, she still entered college on a wave of classical piano and violin scholarships. It wasn’t until she transferred to what’s now known as Texas State University in San Marcos, switched her focus to English and film studies and began working at the legendary Grist Mill in Gruene, Texas that she found her true calling: Americana. Honing her songwriting, stage and studio chops in the years that followed, she now finds When That Day Comes an Album of the Year contender and herself a Female Vocalist of the Year nominee in the 2018 Josie Awards – Nashville’s largest independent music awards program.

In addition to making music of her own, Rowden is dedicated to helping others discover the joy of songwriting, vocal performance and instrument study. That’s why she founded Girl Guitar: a comprehensive rock school for women, bringing music enthusiasts of every skill level into six-week workshops with a rollicking showcase at the end. The Austin-based program introduces beginners to the basics of their chosen craft and encourages intermediate and advanced musicians to further hone their skills, all while surrounded by a supportive female community. Now a decade old, Girl Guitar “has surpassed my wildest dreams,” says Rowden, with around 25 classes per week and quite a few repeat students. “Some of the women involved have been in the program since the beginning and are still going strong. We’ve had holidays together, been through babies being born, divorces, road trips, benders, you name it. It’s really beautiful.”

More great music from Rob Georg

This rising Country Music Star gives your another brilliant song Beast Made Of Steel

Checkout the amazing music video it was produced just with material that truckers from all over the world sent www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hIw22eiE38#action=share

Listen to the new song..

Directly from Rob…

You bought it, we brought it! – This slogan was coined by the truck drivers in North America and brings it exactly to the point. This saying expresses in a few words what we unfortunately all forget too often: The importance of truck drivers for our modern society.

No matter which continent we look at, around the globe our modern life would come to a complete standstill within a few days if truck drivers were to quit work overnight. No more food and drinks in the supermarket shelves, no gas or diesel more at the gas station, no furniture in the furniture stores, no more medicines in pharmacies, your new car you would have to pick up directly at the factory or port (theoretically, because there are no more fuel), the list is endless.

We are all unaware of the personal sacrifices of women and men behind the wheel – missed birthdays and anniversaries, not seeing children grow up, not being close to the family, not being able to enjoy hobbies, and the consequent relinquishment of social contacts e.g. in a club.

We thank our soldiers with “Thanks for your service!”, but I have never heard this saying to a truck driver. Instead, many people perceive it as a nuisance that causes disruption on motorways and highways, or “unacceptable noise pollution” within communities. With this song, I would like to thank you, dear Trucker, for your service and encourage other people to look at your work from a different perspective.  Always stay safe on the road – you are awesome!
