Bangin’ Beats

Hey MR DJ… spin me right round….. DJ David Koonen   knows how to throw down!

From spinning in the clubs, the beaches of Ibiza   and topping the record pool charts with his remixes David espouses the title MASTER OF THE DECKS !

A bit about…

In the early 90’s, David Koonen started producing music with trackers on the Atari ST.
Moving on, he started mixing hardcore and breakbeat and spending a lot of time in the record shops.
The buzz in record shops told what was hot, was not and broadened his experience of electronic music.
He unpicked countless tracks, listening to the productions and the arrangements – discovering what was possible in mixing.
It also made him think about the things he wanted to do in producing music.

2007 saw David studying with producer Lez-Gelm with the “Cubase and mixing” course at the “Temple of Boom” studio.
Following that David and Lez-Gelm created a few trance tracks together including “On The Moon” and “Unknown Destination” (which ended up on “DJZ Club Package Vol. 16”).
In the years that followed he started working together with artists Hannu Rekilä from Finland and Martin Bianco from Amsterdam.
This resulted in 2 EP’s (“Tomorrow” and “David Koonen vs Hannubal”) at Aardvark Records.

In 2012 he got signed at Temple of Boom Recordings.
There, David and Lez-Gelm released Minimal and Tech-House tracks like “Elektrik Morse”, “Tribes” and “Didgerie Vibes” (which ended up on the album “100 Minimal & Techno Songs” by Bavaria Records).

In 2014 David started dj’ing for radio stations “Sobel Nation Radio” and “Dance World Radio”.
In that year he also created a remix of KC’s song “I Love You More” and a remix of his track “On The Moon” with vocals by Kurt Maloo (of the band Double).
Also, he started working together with German House producer Marcel Otte (Firedance, Hardformers and Division). This resulted in the EP “Loca 2015” and many remixes.

At the end of 2014, David joined Andrew Reeve as A&R manager of Dance at Aardvark Records. Together with Andrew he started expanding the Aardvark Records territory.
Not too long after that he also teamed up with dj and producer Julian Marsh and they formed the group “Koomar Beat”.
They released the EP’s “Blue Sky” and in 2016 the EP “Sweet Desire”, featuring singer Natalie Hadlow.

PHANTOM ELECTRONIC GHOST & JOSEPHINE ELECTRIC truly stand out from the rest of the musical pack! With a Plethora of music being released by this NEO SYNTH POP BAND there is always some cutting edge and diverse to download or stream. Who is Phantom Electric Ghost?
Keith David Gittens-Jones aka Phantom Electric Ghost releasing new genre of Electronic Dance Music. Keith David Gittens-Jones is an African American independent musician and Information Technology professional. A resident of Concord NH, he currently is an IT Business Analyst working in Boston MA as a consultant.
What is Phantom Electric Ghost?
Phantom Electric Ghost is an electronic music band. This band is my personal means of expressing sounds and concepts that have been within me for many years. A Cancer survivor who overcame a level 3 Sarcoma in 1997. This life altering experience prompted me to double down on writing music as a passion and serious pursuit. Since then I have composed over 700 compositions. Erik Martin a native of Portsmouth NH has recently joined the band as guitarist and performs with me live on new recordings.

What is Expansive Sound Experiments Music?
Expansive Sound Experiments Music is the Gittens-Jones family business that supports Phantom Electric Ghost
My wife and daughter are artists and they provide support, which includes, editorial critique, graphic art and photographic contributions to all aspects of Phantom Electric Ghost as a commercial enterprise.

Why Phantom Electric Ghost?
Music is my passion I have been creating Expansive Sound Experiments instrumental soundscapes (Sound Paintings) since I was 16 years old. I started with a Casio CZ101 then I graduated to a Roland D5 Multi Timbral Synthesizer. I used a Korg sequencer in combination with a Tascam 4 track recorder to create instrumental soundscapes. In the 2012 updated to a Roland Juno Gi with a digital audio recorder and utilized Sound Cloud to share my Expansive Sound Experiments with the world. In 2016 I introduced vocals via my alter egos Josephine Electric and Phantom Electric Ghost. The soundscapes transitioned to EDM songs with vocals and song structures. My band name is Phantom Electric Ghost which is subtle nod to Ray Bradury’s “I Sing the Body Electric”. Ghosts in machines and the concept that spirits or phantoms are made of electricity are the philosophies behind the Phantom Electric Ghost

GET Very Conceited!

Lights.. Models… Guest List…. Very Conceited!   From the pages of the major fashion magazines and the runways of Paris and Milan the talents of Lashan Goodwin bring new life to the phrase fashion is the passion!  Embracing the challenge to design pieces worth creating Lashan branches out from her beginnings of her signature line L by Lashan towards the fresh and flirty line of THE VC COLLECTION, that offers something for everyone whether you are on the red carpet, off to the office, out to lunch or dinner.

Born, raised and a local Northern Californian, Lashan Goodwin, feels she has been given the opportunity to be fashion forward and diverse with her stylish ideas.  While growing up, she styled her family and friends, and was known as the ‘go to person’ whenever a major event came around. Goodwin gained motivation to open her own boutique after working in the retail industry for numerous designers and large retail companies. After doing so for a few years she began to design.  Her designs have been seen in Vogue, Harpers, on the runway and the red carpet, on top models and the celebrity circuit.  “I personally love to see people shop and get excited about wearing what they chose carefully.  What I visualize I bring to life with careful selection of the fabric for each individual piece. This makes me eager to see what happens next.  I am fascinated with many different prints in the collection and I have enjoyed building the Very Conceited brand.”

The VC COLLECTION has already graced the covers and been featured in spread in major fashions magazines and blogs from LA to NYC, LONDON, PARIS and MILAN.   Items from Lashan’s collection will be in various fashion shows that are coming up along with a huge LAUNCH FASHION that will be early 2017,  more details to follow on that Keep an eye what’s on with Lashan on her website  LIKE here on Facebook Very Conceited and on Twitter @luv2bconceited.  Press enquires and requests for shoots should be directed AL GEINER PR~ Creative Concepts  614.288.1660  or
